Can Claude Code build a website? Quick answers
Yes, Claude Code can build a website, and Agent2Ship gives it a step-by-step flow from idea to a live site on free Cloudflare hosting. You pay $4 once for the Starter kit, plus your Claude plan and a domain. Below are short, honest answers to the questions people ask most.
All questions
What is Agent2Ship?
Agent2Ship is a kit for Claude Code: a folder of .claude/ files with 15 agents, 13 skills, 20 /a2s-* commands, helper scripts and an SEO-core Astro template. It takes you from an idea to a live, SEO- and GEO-ready website on free Cloudflare hosting.
Do I need to know how to code?
You don't have to write the code yourself, but you do type commands in a terminal and read and approve what Claude Code does. The docs explain every step and command in plain words.
What do I need before I start?
Agent2Ship Starter ($4, one-time), Claude Code (it works best with a Pro or Max plan), Node.js 18 or newer, Python 3 for the UI UX Pro Max design skill, a free Cloudflare account, and a domain.
Is hosting really free?
Yes, within Cloudflare's free-tier limits. The kit builds static sites by default, and Cloudflare's docs say requests to static assets are free and unlimited. /a2s-stack tells you before you build if your idea needs paid servers.
Does it work on Windows?
Yes. The installer works on Windows, macOS and Linux; on Windows, put quotes around paths that contain spaces. This website was built with the kit on Windows 11.
Can it improve a site I already have?
Yes. Run /a2s-setup with your URL, then /a2s-audit, /a2s-opportunities and /a2s-fact-check. The audit agents work with Astro, Next.js and React sites; the build template itself is Astro.
Will it get my site ranked or approved for AdSense?
No one can promise that. Agent2Ship makes the technical and content work right and measures what changed, but rankings depend on your niche, competition and time (most changes need 3–6 weeks), and AdSense approval is Google's decision.
Can Claude Code build a website for me?
Yes, Claude Code can write and build a website's code while you guide it. Agent2Ship gives it a fixed flow (brief, stack, build, design, deploy) and an SEO-core template, so the result is indexable and honest instead of a one-off prompt.
How much does it cost to build a website with Claude Code?
With Agent2Ship you pay $4 once for the Starter kit (a launch price that will go up), plus your Claude plan and your domain. Hosting on Cloudflare is free within its free-tier limits. See the pricing page for the full breakdown.
Is there a free version of Agent2Ship?
No. Starter costs $4, one-time, and includes the full current kit; it's a launch price and will go up. Pro, with advanced SEO and UI features, is coming soon, and early Starter buyers will get an upgrade discount. Because the kit is a digital download, all sales are final.
Is it easy to build a website with Claude Code?
It is manageable for beginners if you follow the steps in order. Most problems come from skipping the restart after installs or doing every step in one long session, which the docs cover.
What is the difference between Claude Code slash commands and skills?
A slash command is something you run by typing /name; a skill is a set of instructions Claude can load on its own when a task matches. Claude Code's docs say custom commands have been merged into skills, so both can create /name. In Agent2Ship, the 20 /a2s-* commands are what you run, and the 13 skills are background knowledge hidden from the / menu.
What is GEO, and how is it different from SEO?
SEO is about being found in search results like Google. GEO (generative engine optimization) is about being mentioned and cited in AI answers from tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Gemini and Google AI Overviews. Agent2Ship works on both, and /a2s-geo-check shows whether AI answers cite you.
